I suffered from feel like sh*t syndrome during my 20’s.
Fear and anxiety crushed my dreams. I had so many ideas, and loads of motivation, but my mindset killed my progress.
Because I was too soft to get sh*t done. I was led by emotion, rather than reason.
I said I was going to do all this stuff:
- Read a book
- Take a course
- Go to the gym
- Build a business
- Make sales calls
And I would do those things…for about 1 week.
But once the motivation wore off, I was back to my usual self:
- Inconsistent
- Wasting time
- Blaming others
- Feeling frustrated
I felt like crap. My business wasn’t growing. My body composition suffered.
So I did what everyone does to try and fix this:
Watch David Goggins’ videos looking for inspiration.
It helped for a day. But again, the motivation was temporary.
Eventually, I identified my problem.
It was never my motivation. It was not a lack of ideas.
It was a lack of structure.
Nobody was holding me accountable. I was waking up every day hoping for the best.
- No schedule
- No action plan
- Nobody watching
- Nobody to report to
Turns out it’s hard to do everything on your own.
So I took action by building a system. It included:
- Strategic plan
- Clear deadlines
- A work schedule
- Accountability partner
- List of high-impact tasks
That was 6 years ago.
Today, every aspect of my life is different:
- 7x my income
- Working for myself
- Gym 10 hours per week
- Can do anything I set my mind to
This system forces consistency of high-impact tasks. The stuff you SHOULD be doing to move your life forward.
So what’s the takeaway here? I’ll give you the steps to become mentally jacked:
- Accept you have a problem
- Built a system that forces discipline
- Keep putting in the reps until you get jacked
It’s not rocket science. If I can do it, so can you.
I write this to inspire you, not blame you.
Stop wasting your precious time on this planet.
Start putting systems in place that build success.
